Well, that was pleasantly surprising, considering how "forced marriage" thingy usually goes, with all the toxicity and abuse, no shade on the enjoyers, I just personally don't like that.
Hawk is a fun and interesting character, the very concept of someone "not from this world" always fun to explore.
Just interested how Hawk really views this arrangement for now? Put human in the tower, let them do whatever, wait them to die, keep on mysteriously existing?
But there's some problem with the pacing, like we have a bunch of descriptions of the places from the tower that don't have real narrative use later, you can't explore each of them at the first day, but at the same time we have this time skip where mc doesn't do much, just chillin' with strange cabinets (which have too much of descriptive attention for some magical gimmick, unless this is The Weapon, I dunno).
And I was just "yeah, and" during this skip, don't tell me why I doing this stuff, let me do it (I won't, the king and momma can go f- themselves with this kind of tasks).
Secondly, there's no explanation why Hawk will go for this arrangement at the first place and you can't really ask? Not them, not another elf person. Unless I missed something?
And some minor third thing, that isn't really anything important lmao, if you will do this "cute magic pet stuff", please make it optional, this usually just annoying for some people (me, only god knows how many stories I dropped because of the Pet Stuff). I'm not referring lizards here, they are cool detail, that adds to the world. But as it is.
Aaaand I was really disappointed /j that you can't tell to cut it off and let mc to sleep to that whatever beast which has a serious problems with the concept of closed doors at night. So rude.
Yeah, anyway, this is overall good read, I had nice time with it and I think this can be something great and worthwhile at the end.
