The game is gorgeous - visually, audibly; everything is beautiful.

I was getting so invested in the story but unfortunately I encountered a bug that froze the game. It happens when the wall painting becomes skew-whiff in the upstairs landing. The NPC bids the protagonist follow her downstairs, I think it is a move-route bug where the player has collided with the NPC. The easy fix is to check the Skip if Cannot Move box in the Move Route event which although will look janky will avoid freezing the game up when an event (such as the player) tries to move into an impassable tile (like a wall or Same as Character priority event such as your NPC.)

I will 100% give this another go if this gets fixed; I love this game - can't believe it is your first game, from what I have played so far (apart from the bug) it is nigh on a masterpiece.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for playing the game.

Apologies for the bug, I hadn't come across it in playtesting and was still unable to replicate it when trying to fix the problem just now. I've tried what you said (Thank you for the advice, I wouldn't have known what to try). Hopefully the issue doesn't persist but the movement does look rather janky at the moment and please let me know if anything goes wrong again.

(Someone has reached out to me about some other issues that I am also going to try and fix, but thank you for alerting me about this one.)

No problem and thank you for the speedy update. I tried again and was able to continue on, but this time I managed to put in a quick side step with my player before the event movement kicked in, so I couldn't test out what happens if you idle at that point if you still collide with her.

I got to the part where you find her in the dining room and the game freezes up when you enter the room. Here's a screen grab for you.

I am actually currently in the process of fixing this among another few little bugs of a similar nature. I had someone reach out with a list of things (This included) and am trying to fix everything now. Hope to get another update out soon, and sorry for all the inconveniences.

No worries at all, I'll look forward to playing it I am super invested in the story and I will get to an ending. Good luck with getting everything sorted :)
