I can't thank you enough for your kind words! I certainly do have a vendetta against the type of writing that's associated with Marvel, where it feels too cynical, like you can't get invested into the story because the characters themselves don't act invested or take things seriously. So that's something to avoid for sure.

I'm 95% sure I'll only feature giant ladies, it's simply my own preference. But there's no certainty, my preferences like to change.

About the knockdown: You're right that it doesn't feel very good. I like the idea that the longer the fight goes on, the tougher it gets, the more resistance is thrown your way. But needing to mash is never really fun. And I haven't made it very clear in any of the instructions that you can double-tap Shift to get up instantly at the price of stamina.

I don't think I'll tie the recovery requirement to how little stamina you have left, since it's already harder to get up with low stamina because you can't rely on double-tapping Shift. But regardless, if you or anyone else has any other suggestions on how to improve the idea, I'd be happy to consider it.

Double-tap Shift? Yes, please mention this, or include a tips page in a future update.

There is a tips page in-game, if you go to options in the character select menu! It's also mentioned in the game's description. But you're right, 90% of players missed it so I should make it more obvious.

It's weird, when i tried this mechanic it never worked for me. Maybe it's my keyboard.

Also i don't like how it is now becuase it punish you for near misses. Like you can have 2 life and no stamina and you can still have a short recovery. Or the contrary being full and have a long recovery. Sometimes i prefer that they just stomp me once well early on because i could just heal myself while i can't heal my near miss. So in the final stage i still have fast recovery.

Also i will prefer instead of  smashing a button. I prefer a timed minigame where you press in the center of a bar and it gets smaller the more screwed you are

This is a good idea, it might take a bit of time to implement but having the recovery be something rhythm based is way better than having to mash.

Sorry that the quick recovery didn't work for you, it does need 50 stamina to work but it might also just have been a bug.
