Lovely update as always. I adore how maternal Fabienne is.

Reine's visit definitely checks the NSFW box. 0_0

I like a challenge in video games. I’ve done some bosses with 100% difficulty from the start. Some pro players here have beaten bosses with no upgrades.

On itch.io or the downloadable exe?

Haha, you're gonna need to make that Guest menu bigger than only 10 characters at this rate Rosie. I'm very happy to see this game grow and grow. :D

Well done. I never experienced this bug after repeated playthroughs, I did not fully appreciate how we need many MANY players to find any errors in the code.

Arconte gets more and more aggressive the longer the fight goes on. She schooled me at first (feels like an idiot for not remembering the chemical symbol for Sodium, hahah) but if you get all her questions right she's not too bad. A giantess with principles and a sense of fairness, I like that.

Excellent update rosie. Arconte's multi-choice quiz and Lilac's fetch quest were fantastic to keep replaying.

Fantastic update with the Guest characters! Challenging, but not overly unfair. I enjoyed it. I also noticed Guests have their own menu of variants and visits. Even though it doesn't affect the main Beastie story, will there be any future content with them I wonder?

Fantastic update. Reine is very tough to beat (cries for more stamina), but you weren't kidding when you said this was going to be the biggest update yet. She is a very well designed boss! Those attacks and QTEs? Amazing! There's like 9 different endings depending on how she catches you. 10/10

Well done on the bug fixes, it's always great to see a development log and showing a designer craft and refine their work. Reine is a psycho shark of the sea (lol) that makes Blanche seem "tame and civil" in comparison. Can't stress the importance of stamina in this one. Run out and you're dead as Reine gives you no time to recover (unless you cheese her grab attack by staying down the bottom). Oof. Several times I was running around madly at the very end, trying to find the spark lighter.

Keep up the awesome work!

Fabienne was really difficult. Maybe she can be that difficult again for the variant rematch? Also there's a bug with the stamina instantly recharging making it too easy. The dev is aware. :)

Ooo, unlucky. I always double-tap shift.

Great update! The purple difficulty gems that appear/disappear add an interesting mechanic to the battles, and would be clever if you used them in the main fight to avoid the Beastie getting angry too quickly.

I wonder if Reine will be at the skate park too?

For unaware scenarios, the Friendship spark game mechanic makes Olive stand out for all bosses, so they can't ignore her. :)

Actually...it would be heartwarming for Olive to befriend a chef...whose on the verge of tears from their orders being returned by unpleasable customers. Olive could support her and help her with her recipe/catering service.

I bet Reine will be aggressive as she's a bully, trying to jump on Olive from up high, as she sees her shadow get larger, and has to avoid her?? But can only imagine what future bosses would be like.

Imagine a dragoness chef unaware of Olive stomping back and forth across the kitchen panicking as the orders come in? Or Olive hiding in a carpet from another Beastie searching for them? And that's not even discussing the potential for boss variants!

Ah! When her anger meter is 100%, if you wiggle LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys, she's easier to avoid, if you listen for the sound cues of when she's going to stomp again.

Aye I’ve beaten her. At the end her stomps keep coming out of nowhere, sprinting does nothing.

Blanche is only dangerous at the end, if stats are maxed out, it’s not a big problem. You think Fabienne is alright? She can be a nightmare for me sometimes, even when maxed out because there’s no cool-down, and she keeps stomping me before I have a chance to dodge. I’ve lost so many times just as the final Spark Lighter appears.

You're giving me ideas. A deer/raccoon taur (parallel universe scientist) for the final boss. Oh gawd, imagine four paws coming at you at once.... and when defeated and befriended...  she doesn't invade Earth but makes a parallel comic called "Humans 4 Life❣"

lol

My prediction is:
1. Rabbit and Sheep;
2. Mermaid/Shark and Dolphin/Whale?
3. Dragon and Lizard?
4. Protogen and Alien?

Double-tap Shift? Yes, please mention this, or include a tips page in a future update.

For Blanche, that's easy. But the game's hard enough as it is for Fabienne. ;_;

okay here's my advice to make your experience a pleasurable one:

1. Always choose Blanche FIRST. You are in for HELL if you pick Fabienne!

2. Grind your health/stamina/speed stats out with Blanche until they are maxed out.

3. For Fabienne, try staying down the bottom of the screen when she gets irate. Make quick sweeps of the floor for any friendship points that spawn at the middle/top, then quickly get back down to the bottom of the room or she will grind you out of existence.

I love the concept, but Fabienne is far too hard. There's no cooldown when they are grinding their feet on you over and over.

Love it. Be sure to add it as a bonus feature in Hypnagogia 3

When you say next installment, do you mean extra content for Hypnagogia Boundless Dreams? Or a whole new adventure?

Glad to hear you're still working on games.

So will this project be a completely brand new sequel, or a remaster with new content?

Yeah 2023 was a rough year. But always glad to see you being active and thinking up ideas for new games. Keep being awesome.

I adore your world and lore building so far. All the characters and stories are like something straight out of Courage the Cowardly Dog - heartwarming horror.

quite possibly one of the most aesthetically pleasing and beautifully crafted indie games of the 2020s.

awesome tribute to Metal Gear Solid, sodaraptor takes you back in time again to the PSX days.

Fantastic short story game. But I'm left wanting more. I hope a sequel is in the works. Maybe Mamma Rabbit now works at a dairy farm? As The Woman from The Window tries to break in their home?

Mamma Rabbit: You'll never milk me. :)

I wish this was a wallpaper or a profile theme for your itch.io profile, like with Steam.

The new lore/ending is fantastic. I wonder if this'll have a sequel or even become a franchise one day.

Maybe Lamu has other animal hybrid "friends" he's neglected to tell us about.

I’d have both, not everyone wants to bounce from Steam to Itch.io to agog, to Twitter, to Patreon, it’s a pain.

I also remembered! Puro says in his 2nd cutscene, Colin is “killing us”, so the wording should reflect the Pacifist run, to “afraid of us” or something.
