What makes your game a Mystery Game?
You're discovering the code for a safe, among many other things, via looking through messages and such.
How does your game integrate the jam's theme "Last Message"?
To find needed information, you need to look through the last messages left behind by a mob rat on his computer before he was killed. You just have to piece it all together.
Does your game use generative AI? And if so, in what way?
Nope. All that effort was us!

From what I saw, it seemed to be a pretty interesting and fun story. However, I pretty quickly found what I needed to to finish the game, without having to read through most messages and emails (I got the email password, then I read the emails from bottom up, then looked at the images, so I only needed to read 1 message chain and three emails). I went back after I finished the game to read more.
The UI systems like the computer windows were really cool, and quite well put together. The game overall really is great, even if most of the mystery can potentially be skipped.
I do feel like you missed out on most of the fun by not reading all the content, and potentially even learning the full story.
really funny little game, i had fun playing it. quite well put together, felt that it utilized everything pretty well
Thank you for the laughs on this one. I really liked the way the systems were put together and even though I did find a logical inconsistency, it was legitimately fun reading through the messages and getting to know the different characters that way in order to figure out what happened.
