You have a README which is great, but you'll need a License file as well (these are two main criteria for open source category). I would also make the title of your README the name of your game. Add some screenshots to spice it up a little.
I enjoy a full window by default game. I really like the background and background texture (nice touch!). Great game, lovely animations, nice sound effects, add some chill vibes music and this would be great. This is definitely too intense for me at this time of day though. Maybe you could start it with smaller letters and grow bigger and bigger, however that would be harder to solve. Well done.
