Hi, I have an idea about it, but how do I properly save the savestates when I'm using the itch.io app or just download games.

I guess what I'm saying is that I either exprienced it already, or just fear that the saves that I move around, won't be accepted once I download the game again.

This might have happened once with a game already, I just don't remember enough

In-game, in the "Load Game" menu, there's an option to export your save files. I would make regular backups of your preferred save files, occasionally, just in case. It usually defaults to exporting the save file in the game's directory, wherever it is installed. I don't know if uninstalling the game would delete the entire directory if there are exported save files in there, so I would make a backups of exported save files into another directory. Later, if you install the game again, you should be able to import that save file.
