you are not alone in this, the internet is full of noise. I've had my own struggles during promotions of my content.
you sort of just have to find the thing that works for you, you need to build your audience and sometimes that's just no easy feat.
So I can't tell you how to market your game, but I can tell you the one thing never to do. Never anger a niche audience, you will screw yourself.
having said that, have you tried twitter, or simply making a devlog here on itch?
