Hi. As promised, I finished my other Jam so I'm coming straight to test your game.
Good point for me:
-Nice music fits the atmosphere well.
-Design of people lacks regularity depending on their shape for the discussion image but otherwise the character design is cool
-Basic combat system but very well diverted to make something unique. Really very interesting.
-Nice Guy = EMOTIONAL DAMAGE XD
-There's attention to detail right down to the menu statuses. It's cool.
-The turn of the discussion with Jack is cool
Points that I like less:
-The operation is a little complicated to understand. I don't always understand if I'm doing something right or not (my lousy level of English doesn't help.)
-it wouldn't have been a problem but (next point)
-From a technical standpoint, aside from the combat, it's a bit limited.
Bug and other:
-At the end of each cutscene, the characters reposition themselves before the screen disappears. You can fade out with a short "Wait" of 15 or 30 frames and then activate the next phase. This isn't a problem in itself, but it looks a bit odd.
-During the role-playing scene, the text of the character with glasses is out of frame.
-During that same day, there were two identical characters. One at the gaming table, the other in the aisles.
-You can walk on the bottom of the tables (I don't know if this was a choice or an oversight).
Final opinion:
Too short and lacking in technical depth. But on the other hand, it's extremely original. I may be a crank, but the combat gameplay really spoke to me. The conversation, sometimes facing a wall, the discussions that can drag on and even destroy your morale and sometimes even your health. The feeling of being stronger when you're well surrounded, and the help of friends can almost give you a second wind. It's a short game, so I understand why there aren't more. But I admit I'm still a little unsatisfied. I think it's a concept that needs to be explored more deeply.
Hoping my feedback will be useful to you, I wish you continued success and thank you for offering this experience. Good luck to you.
