The player controls feel nice and character animations are cute! There is a lot of deadspace (empty gameplay space) in the level design, and generally you'd want to avoid a leap of faith (a place where I can't see the bottom floor, so I don't know if I can or can't drop down) in games. Cool game!
Thank you for the feedback, I fully agree that level design and camera placement definitely needs some work and are things I look forward to trying to improve upon as I make more games!
A solid platformer game! I think mainly to improve the experience, you could have downsized the world a little (lots of empty spaces, making us walk straight for long periods without knowing if we're going anywhere) and showing indications for where the moving platforms might stop! this way, you can know where to wait for them without thinking its just a wall. Still, a nice fun game, and some cool elements added, so an awesome job for a first jam!
Thank you so much for the advice!
Great work!
Thank you!
This is srsly amazing for a first game!!!! The animation was adorable and the platforming felt really solid. Even with relatively simple mechanics, it was a lot of fun just running and jumping around. I agree with the other commenter that something to prevent getting lost would be helpful, but still this is great! This game just makes me feel warm inside. Please keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!!!! I 100% agree a minimap or some hints would have been helpful but wasn't quite sure how to implement them in the time frame, the interaction and animations with the flowerpots were kicking my butt lol
Great work! I think a minimap or some hints would fit really well. I had a bit of trouble finding the seeds. :D
Thank you so much for the advice, this was my first game and game jam! :)
