Wow! I absolutely loved this game. I plan to play it again on the harder difficulties.

The combat did not feel cumbersome, and I felt like I was able to make informed decisions that helped me to succeed. I feel confident that if I had played poorly, I would have lost in several combat situations. Kudos for making an excellent grid based combat system for the jam! I know it is not an easy task!

Also, the art style in this game is incredible. It reminded me a lot of Land of Devastation with the fantastic pixel art for key locations.

If you would like to watch my full playthrough, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjD1Fqqm90M&t=2720s

I watched the full video, thanks a lot.

The funny part is that the resolution of the game should automatically swith to x2,x3 etc when it can ... if it worked as intended :/ . I didn't have any pc with a high enough resolution to try and eventually forgot to simply lower the game resolution to try. Note that the game looks alright with scaling on your pc, the font looks a ton worse in 1960x1080 on mine .The knife indeed seems to do nothing with the last balancing path, I missed that. Each difficulty level only adds 10% to chance to hit to the party and removes 10% from the opponents', it's definitely harder yet possibly not as fun. In the case you'd play the game again it might be worth playing without the chicken as it's a bit different.

ESC allows to wait, I should have put it clearly.

Thanks again!
