I frequently get this question and there’s 2 ways of thinking about this:

1. A significant number of people buy the game just to read it; and that’s a solitaire activity I’ve definitely intended the game to support.

2. I haven’t yet written a solitaire mode but it is something I keep looking at doing. My biggest reservation is that the rules load is already too big and having one person take on that load is genuinely going to be a problem. There’s also not too many places that a single person is going to have an impact in the future - a crew is kind of the minimum group size to do so and I’ve already cheated by halving the crew size from 8 to 4.

Nonetheless, I’m sure people have tried to play solitaire. And I’ve pencilled in a couple of solitaire options for update 5 that’ll be “supported”.

Hell yea, I've bought so many books here that I've just read for their awesome content (Triangle Agency stands out for this), and this sits in that spot too...though I'd love to play it, haha.

I suppose 'playing solo' can be a couple things; I get what you mean (if I'm understanding right) with one character being overloaded, especially in any sort of crew environment. The other way I thought about is just playing multiple characters, which you can do with any game, and after typing this I sorta wonder why I asked!

Thanks for replying though, appreciate it. Hopefully I can grab this book sometime, just gotta let the wallet loosen a bit first.
