as female lois, go to magnificence during mingle phase 1 and talk to her. she should offer you a chess piece in exchange for wearing a dress from her collection. if you accept it, you will have an extra life for challenge two, which will allow you to beat Matthias.

Ah, so you can't do it as base lewis. Okay. Guess I can't save Marazet and win both challenge 1 and 2... And I assume the chess piece can't be acquired by giving Magnificence 3 coins or something?  (Why did I say three? Because it's the same amount that you win in the first half of challenge 2, so I'd say that's what the value would be.) I was hoping it was possible to do everything in a sort of "pure run". Like the earlier post I made about how in challenge 4 I couldn't win no matter what I picked. I like it when games let you do everything possible even under minimum conditions and using as little cheese as possible. Like Sundered, an action platformer where the main mechanic of the game is that you can infect yourself with evil demon-alien powers that vastly increase your strength and versatility, but they're not required (and to get the best ending you need to beat the game as a pure human with no powers).

Edit: Or maybe a better comparison would be Devil Survivor on the DS, that game is a visual novel/tactics rpg hybrid, where the main plot is that the people of the Yamanote Circle in Tokyo have been barricaded in by the government because of a demonic incursion. There's a whole bunch of different routes in the game, and charcters can die, but it's possible through picking every correct choice in the visual novel sections and by getting all the correct objectives in the trpg sections to unlock every single route at once and save every single character who dies in the game.

at the core, we want it to feel like a puzzle game. but the big thing is the game is still incomplete. we'll certainly add new options in the future that might make this sort of thing possible.
