Things I Liked:

  • The game felt really responsive, with clean controls.
  • Cute pixel art!
  • The gradual increase in difficulty was well-balanced and never felt too easy.
  • Refilling the turrets was a great addition and felt fair in terms of cost.
  • The leaderboard was a very nice addition to the game, and I had a shot at the top spot!
  • Local co-op is a super impressive feature, especially for a jam game!

Room for Improvement:

  • Not sure how to describe it exactly, but knocking back enemies didn’t feel very impactful. Adding a flash effect or an impact sound as they fly back could make it feel more satisfying.
  • The building icons could use some text or tooltips. I wasn’t sure what the third or fourth icons did without purchasing them first. With the short window to gather and spend resources wisely, I was hesitant to experiment until a second playthrough.
  • A speed buff for the frog could help with resource gathering in the early to mid-game.

Thank you.

I can't agree more, buit... the time management for this game was from my POV spent wisely on things that are important. I really appreciate your feedback.

Have you actually tried the local co-op? I maybe should have given up on that because now I seriously doubt that someone is going to return to this game and play it with a friend.
