It’s truly disheartening to see what has unfolded on platforms like Steam and Patreon. As someone who has reviewed a wide range of games, I’ve noticed that many of the more extreme accusations—such as calling this title a “rape simulator”—are not only misleading, but often come from individuals who haven’t even played the game.
What’s especially troubling is the double standard at play. When a game allows players to kill, no one calls them murderers. But when a game contains dark or non-consensual erotic themes—within a clearly fictional and regulated context—some are quick to assume that anyone who engages with it must be a criminal or predator. That kind of logic is not only flawed, it’s dangerously reductive.
As a reviewer, I found myself unfairly swept up in the backlash simply for doing my job. The number of people who targeted me personally just for reviewing the game is astonishing. It’s surreal to witness how easily artistic expression and adult themes are twisted into accusations, especially by those who never took the time to understand the game in the first place.
