Wow, thank you so much for this incredibly detailed and thoughtful feedback. I can tell you spent a lot of time testing and analyzing every aspect of the game—from the UI to the core mechanics—and I truly appreciate it.

Your comments are super clear, constructive, and exactly the kind of insight I need to push the game further. Some of the points you raised (like the audio balancing, readability issues, or some of the jump quirks) confirm things I already had in mind, while others opened my eyes to areas I hadn’t even considered—like the character glow blending or how the dimension switch visuals play out.

It also means a lot that you felt the retro vibe I was going for in the art direction and soundtrack. And no worries at all about the difficulty—I take it as a huge compliment that you stuck with it and made it through the level!

I’ll definitely be going over your suggestions in detail, especially around smoothing out the tutorial, improving player feedback, and polishing some of the UI and level flow. Your feedback is a goldmine and will seriously help shape the next steps of the game.

Huge thanks again! 🙏

I think re the tutorial there was a missing instruction about wall jumping.  I eventually figured it out on level 1 and it made me think back to where I got stuck in the tutorial and I realized it was that mechanic which would have progressed me.

I definitely want to reiterate that you nailed the retro vibe! It made me feel like I was trying out shareware Turrican on my Atari ST again - eg, I played the original versions of the games you're winking at and your nod hit the mark. It definitely felt like those old games!
