Step 1: Grey Clouds
June 14th, 2008
"Hey, Francis!"
The blonde glanced up at the shout of his name, one hand in place to keep the pages of his novel from fluttering as he stared at what he quickly recognized as an approaching mass of doom.
He would've made a run for it had he realized sooner, but alas his fate had been sealed the minute he failed to recognize those rapid footsteps had been heading towards his bench.
"Have you heard?" A rhetorical question. Mirthful eyes curved into half-moons as the words spilled from his tongue. "We've got a new neighbor in town!"
Francis sighed, he'd have to indulge him a little if he wanted to get back to the fictional world of Sherlock Holmes anytime soon.
"Where are they from?" He asked flatly, a bookmark having replaced his hand.
"Mhm, I'm not sure." A shrug. "There's a moving truck in front of the house across from the Ward's though. Let's go check it out!"
"Do I have to go?"
"C'mon, don't be shy. You already asked about them, I know you're just itching to see." The purple-haired boy wiggled his eyebrows, acting as if moving hair follicles would convince the cynic to follow his plans.
"I'm not itchy." Francis deadpanned, choosing to ignore the evident hyperbole. He stood up nonetheless and shot a pointed look at the invader.
"I'm only taking a peak and then leaving." The blonde firmly stated, his precious copy of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes quietly tucked underneath his arm. "You can do excess introductions and socializing by yourself."
"Deal!"
