the struggle of excessive layers is a burden we shall take on together...
In step 1 he really likes home cooked meals, especially his mom's ox bone soup, mostly because it was one of the only moments where his parents would make time for him, and ox bone soup in particular takes a long time to make. It's a little ironic since the meal usually meant his parents were going away on a trip and he'd have to stay home alone for up to a week.
In step 2 he tries to avoid staying in his house unless absolutely necessary; so if his friends decided to go to a restaurant or a fast-food chain, he'd be delighted no matter the options.
