thats a good point, and a totally valid reason to pause a patreon subscription if you are unhappy with delays. the reasoning behind us syncing the releases is this:

if you play our game for the first time right when our newest update is posted, the game and this page will tell you that more content is waiting and ready to be played on patreon. if you then go to our patreon and subscribe, but haven't realized that there has been a delay, you might feel cheated or ripped off. to avoid that feeling, we delay public releases to match with patreon releases so that no one feels deceived. 

Ah. That makes perfect sense and seems like a reasonable motive.
