Thanks a bunch! Yeah the movement was pretty wonky. I couldn't get the NavMesh Surface to get flat, it kept becoming super jagged (among other things). The plan was to have a medieval themed scene where a jester has told you the king had found a part of your machine and you would have to do like a time trial to get to the king or get pranked, brew a potion that would protect you from prank matter and compete in a jousting event. If you didn't make it to the king in time you the message would get jumbled up (and instead of a horse you would ride a donkey) and you wouldn't know how to brew the potion. If you didn't get the potion, then during the joust your lance would get replaced with a baguette. I think it could of been pretty cool if I had just been more to the point, but oh well!

Haha, yeah I wanted to add some sound somewhere and figured that would  be a good easy place to throw it in. Thanks for the link, I will be sure to check it out in the future.

I see, sounds like u didn't have time. I'd recommend for game jams just making things super simple, short and sweet. I think you tried to go very story rich and ended up spending time on things that aren't going to make the game engaging with the theme. But maybe this project will be one you keep working on and make better!

For nav meshes, a little hack I've found, if you just need 1 big flat mesh on a map  just chuck a plane just ever so slightly above your entire ground and add the nav mesh surface to that, make it cover your whole map. It'll still cut out walls etc but it will be just a flat plane, will be much smoother! I did this for a jam before as I was just spending ages trying to get the nav surface flat.

Definitely spent way too much time trying to do dialogs and story's. My next jam will be much more focused to the point. Thank you for the feedback, its all great information!
