Well I’m not surprised about Russel in the fave charts being either ‘bad’ or ‘passable’, from what I’ve seen he’s just bland. Liam being a spectrum is interesting. But I saw in one of your answers about the choices you said something along the lines of “Well if you do Liam’s first then Ryan’s makes more sense”, which just seems rather baffling. You think your readers would meet Liam, the character introduced as an unlikable asshole, and decide to do his route first or at least before Ryan’s? I’m not the biggest fan of Ryan’s I find him rather bland personally. But you’ve sorta introduced him as like the ‘main’ love interest since he’s CLEARLY into Joel. Why would anyone pick Liam above Ryan in terms of who to read first based on introductions?

Ryan gives me Torahiko vibes, in that they’re clearly into the MC but are going to do something that’s going to make me want to hit them in the nuts.

You said the slime monster is a hive mind so being friendly and aggressive makes sense. So what type of hive mind to act so bi-polar? Geth style where every ‘drone’ has a voice or a gestalt consciousness?

The name on the phone you said is a password reference, but password’s actually has a use. Does MC’s?

“Well if you do Liam’s first then Ryan’s makes more sense”, which just seems rather baffling."

Hm. Is that so? Ryan gets more depth as you explore Liam's route. I don't see anything wrong with that. People who like Ryan don't need Liam's route to enjoy the character.

Besides... you'd be surprised. Every experience is different and I've seen people pick Liam first.

"But you’ve sorta introduced him as like the ‘main’ love interest since he’s CLEARLY into Joel."

I don't consider him the main LI. That's for you to decide. Just because Ryan likes Joel doesn't mean we're obligated to return that sentiment.

"Why would anyone pick Liam above Ryan in terms of who to read first based on introductions?"

Well, that's your opinion. Not everyone started with Ryan just like others started with Liam first.

It's a unique experience that changes depending on the route order, because it recontextualizes stuff.

"So what type of hive mind to act so bi-polar? Geth style where every ‘drone’ has a voice or a gestalt consciousness?"

I think it's closer to a gestalt consciousness. I wrote about this in Liam 5. The strongest one takes control, but can be replaced by another.

"The name on the phone you said is a password reference, but password’s actually has a use. Does MC’s?"

The... coffee cup at the beginning of the same has a use? I thought it was just a silly Easter egg. Damn. I replayed the game 5 months ago and I don't remember that being important at all.

The name chosen will return later in the game. I just don't want to say more.

My mention of introductions is because first introductions matter. For instance in the early dev of password Roswell was an absolute C*nt, berated Dave, was a huge asshole to everyone. Roswell was re written 2 or 3 times since then but i still lothe him entirely becuase of thoes first impressions.

Liam's introductions is quite a wrecking ball to his likeability.

The coffee cup gives affection and also can give easter eggs.

Entering a characters name like Tyson will give +1 affection to that character.

Eddit: Also gives new text of Dave and Roswells reactions.

Entering Dave gives +1 affection to all characters.

There's some easter eggs with patreon names, the only one i remember is Timber, or is it Timbre? I think it's Timber, this changes the bus driver who drives you to the mansion.

Ah, I see. Now I understand where you're coming from. You remember my old train wreck. Painful, but I understand. I learned the hard way that first impressions are super important. If I had known I would've waited to release in the first place.

Oh yeah. I remember that it was giving affection, but I don't think it mattered much in the grand scheme of things. It was great to type Tyson and see Dave freak the fuck out lmao.

Made it easier to hug Sal at the pool and kiss Hoss in the library, for both of them you need every point of affection with only 1 point wiggle room.
