I really liked the interactive reload system for this!
the reload system is great just annoying sometimes if u go to the end of the map you see gray bg
I love the drag and drop reload mechanic
Interesting idea.
Could do with a bit more balancing. It looks like there's a whole big dungeon, but doing the puzzles and returning back to the hourglass takes too long, so I can only clear the 3 immediately-adjacent rooms before the timer runs out. A simple alternative would be to just have the hourglass on the UI and picking up a blue thing pauses it immediately.
I agree about the reloading: an cool idea, but maybe not quite the correct game for that.
I also can't figure out how to leave the dungeon. I'd think the escape is by the door that closes when the timer runs out, but I tried pressing every key while standing there, and also standing there when the time ran out, and nothing worked. If the escape is somewhere else and you need to find it, that's probably what should close instead, when the timer runs out.
Exiting is now fixed, I had some problems uploading at the last second and apparently didn't realize I broke it.
My intent with the reloading was to make combat more about the time sink than any sort of aim or skill - "is it worth the time it would take to kill the mummies and then reload, or should I just go around?". I did try in a few places in the dungeon to give you a choice between a short path with mummies and a long path without, and I had the idea after submitting that maybe the mummies should drop a bit of gold, but by then it was too late.
At any rate, thanks for playing!
The reloading mechanic is a neat idea, though I do think combat altogether is a bit unnecessary since it's almost never worth killing the mummies when it's better to just ignore them. It would be more fun to see in a more action-oriented game. That said, I find both puzzles fun and creative, the gameplay loop of returning sprites to the hourglass is very satisfying (I especially like that you can't see the timer until you get back to the hourglass, which makes moments even tenser), and the visuals look great. Keep it up :)
Also, I might be stupid but I can't figure out how exactly to leave the dungeon and keep my score. I thought it might be through the entrance before the door closes but no. Is there a place I need to find?

Cannot see the game, I think the embedded size is way too small. Highly recommend allowing for it to be fullscreen so that you can actually see the game.
I could have sworn I did, but apparently Itch unchecked the boxes. I've fixed both the embedded size and the fullscreen button. Thanks for pointing that out
