At first, I thought the game is lagging. Then I realized it was from the coin effect: slow down or speed up. The gaps between traps (rocks) can often be too short to give enough space to jump for the next trap. One way to workaround this is start with few traps generation and increase as time goes or as you travel farther.

The game could use some adventure or hyper vibe music and sounds effects to feel alive. Still, not a bad entry for 2-day game jam.
