I like this, very clever use of cards, even if a simpler poker ranking wouldn't affect it all that much. Also looks very clean.

I loved this. Super well executed.

Love the polish and attention to detail. Excellent tutorial and icons around if you are going to win or take damage.

My favorite polish is the scanlines and the fact that the music fades out when menus open.

Incredible job, great jamming with you 🥳

Thank you! Getting the tutorialization right was important for me, in particular because I prefer to have all the information you need to play within the game itself when possible. That can be hard under jam conditions where you’re just trying to make the game work within the deadline. (I did include text on the game page this time around as a just-in-case. Some of the mechanics are perhaps under-explained in the game itself.)

With more time (and maybe higher fidelity graphics), I would have done more to emphasize the Jacks as the “special” cards, just to really drive the point home for the player. The main affordances I added were using unique colors for each suit, and changing the color of the left bower when you’re selecting a suit. This makes it easier to see at a glance how many trump cards you’ll have depending on the aura you select.

Absolutely, and I think you executed smashingly.

All the info was there, and all your little touches payed off and really helped teach the game through playing it, which I believe is the ultimate ideal.

I love new takes on existing games, and this merges roguelike with trick-taking games perfectly. Looks awesome too, I’d not heard of QX82, but it’s a great concept!

This is a really creative take on a card-based dungeon crawler that I haven't seen before! It took me a round of failing to fully understand it but damn I really like the polish in this one. That colour palette and art and tthe chill dungeon music slaps, great work!
