So, when I release the game here, never was told that the game it was going to be on steam, the steam announcement was made late december 2024 and I put in the description of this game page that a new game of this was going to release on Steam so I recommended new people to don't buy this one and wait, I didn't remove the option to buy this one yet just in case someone still want to buy this before it cannot be available anymore but for that reason I put the warning.

Then when the game was about to release on steam lkike in a week I remove the option to buy this one.

The only people that can said that waste their money are the ones that buy this game in that time between december 2024 and march 2025, and I can told you that wasn't a lot of people, and even if that people did it I explained everything in a transparent way, if they didn't read then it wasn't my fault.

Nobody bought this game with the intention to get it on steam, if you are not in the time period I have mention (dec 24 to march 25) then you bought this game because you wanted, and you have been playing with that game for a long time.

And before you tell me that you bought this game with the intention to get it on steam in the time period I said, then tell me what is the email you use to bought it and I can check when you bought the game here and if it is true I will happily return your money.

The issue is. people bought the game here expecting free updates until the game no longer gets updating. Presumably the steam version will now get updates leaving anyone who purchased the game on itch.io in the dust with no new features while features will be added on steam. So it's less about people expecting it free on steam and more that they expect free updates on here when they know steam will get them. Even buckshot roulette still updated the itch.io version of the game AND the steam version.

It's a slap in the face for people who supported the game early on. You support the game to be told "ok no more update guys. You'll have to buy it a second time. My hands are tied!".

So I think it's perfectly understandable why people are upset about not getting  steam version because they know that version will now be the only one getting updates and they no longer will get updates on itch.

Edit: I will say i do appreciate the discount. Even more so that you pointed out it was for mostly people who already had the game. I don't know if you sent emails out to the itch.io owners to tell them the game was released and is on offer. Regardless it is a nice gesture. I am just pointing out why people are upset. ,
