I did it and I even remove the option of purchase this game.
I am not abandoning anybody,I just make another game, the game on itch was finished a long time ago.
If I choose to name it as this one was becacuse I want it. If that is a good or bad decision is other thing, but is my game so I do what a want with it.
So your defense is that you're claiming they're entirely different games? When both the games are 90% the same with the exception of the custom game mode? That's....a bit of a stretch don't you think. You clearly don't want to release the steam version on itch.io because you want people to re-purchase the game and recoup the efforts you put into "remaking" the game. I don't know man. Just sounds like you're being greedy. Like...you have to release from the customer perspective why this seems like a scummy move.
