Out of all the games I've played so far, this one has the world I want to fall into and know the most. From the start the game breathes a personality that I want to wrap myself up in - the characters are endearing in a way I didn't think I'd find in a game from this jam, and the protagonist and Kobe's relationship is built up in such a compelling way. That same care is threaded throughout the rest of the work too - the paper collage styling is wonderful, and builds on the frankly astonishing art done behind it. I particularly loved that the exterior art of the chariot is something we get to see in different light over the opener of the game - its a clever way to reuse the asset, and also allows different chances to admire the scenery.
It definitely made me sad that the puzzle felt like the equivalent of running into a brick wall - the ramp up in difficulty was rough with no lead up, and I've only been able to complete the puzzle once before both the web and downloaded versions bugged out and wouldn't let me move the wires. It makes me wonder if I was actually able to do something during the countdown and it just bugged out!
This is the exact sort of game where, if this wasn't a horny game jam, I'd be immediately hopping to youtube to find a play through just so I could see what happenes next - and if this ends up expanded into a larger version, I'd be so excited to see what happens next in this world!
