Liams is his big fight, its when he met Odessa and when he changed for the better.

a major moment in Val's life was when he started getting bullied for his looks(specifically his weight and heterochromia), accent, and personality (since he's very shy and introverted)so began to obsess with his looks and speak even less than before. If you wanted to speak to him you couldn't even take a breath before he began to criticize or bully you and guess what you're about to tell him or he'd get physical (he's a very feisty and surprisingly strong femboy). This obsession causes him to spiral later on and get worse at forcing himself to fit the standards he's always set up for himself. 

Basically, he got bullied into becoming an extremely slay diva</3

Runie’s canon event (lol) is when he was isolated in the old city he used to live in because of his strength and because of the way he looks. With only him and his mom he didnt really have any other friends besides Damian, Sonia and Qinru. 

Other kids bullied him because of how he was ‘Girly’ or how he doesnt look like a typical boy. But they were also scared of his strength, and isolated him because they thought he was a freak. One of his bullies was his ex-bestfriend (which i will also make an Introduction for considering hes an important character as well nyehe) and that made it even worse for Runie. He was isolated by his peers until he was 10 years old.

The incident left him very soft-spoken and reclusive, and when his only best friends moved away from the city, his light only dimmed more and more.

Luckily his mom helped him not change himself or his appearance, she was his pillar during those rough years.

And now that he’s in Golden Grove, Runie began to open himself up again and shine like he used to before. :D

okay, I’m gonna rant here SO 

between steps 1-2 Hanukkah wanted to become popular, he popular kids other than qiu was a group of kids who had what is known as ‘toxic masculinity’ they taught Haruki how to be a ‘real man’ and to be tough and everything, he started acting out, bullying other people all so he could be popular and a real man. He grew apart from his friendship with Tamarack and Qiu and started getting mad at his mom. He and his ‘friends’ bullied this one kid to the point their family moved.
 Haruki at this point has abandoned all the things he likes in an effort to be cool and fit in with the other kids in fear of being unliked and unpopular. Opal basically had a long heart to heart to Haruki to get to the root of the problem, he feels like he has to act out to be a real ‘man’ so eventually his biological father will see how cool he is and want to be apart of his life, as he feels he’s missing out in many hinges because he doesn’t have a dad to show him the ways of ‘manhood’ eventually he grew remorseful of bullying the friend, and planned to start fresh in high school, he dumped his old friends, reconnected with Qiu and eventually became best friends, and sent a letter to the kid that moved. Eventually the kid forgave him and now they’re penpals!

for Maeve basically she’s already a pretty quiet person, she started taking speech classes when she was around 12 to encourage her to speak to strangers, she still clams up sometimes to strangers but she can be very talkative to people she really likes, I’m not sure if I mentioned this but she has a thick French accent and is still learning I English so sometimes she messes up words. So sometimes she was bullied for it. In middle school she had to go to different classes like for students who were learning English and stuff so she wasn’t around with him often. She was bullied for her accent and appearance, and lived in constant fear of that kid. But she didn’t tell anyone about it her being bullied. Eventually she expressed her emotions in a poetry book which she left in class one day. Basically the music teacher found out about it and talked with Maeve about it, in which the music teacher encouraged Maeve to tell other people. Basically Maeve grew closer to the music teacher (who also doubled as the student councilor bc why not) and eventually Maeve confides that she wants to be a singer but is to afraid people will critique her accent and that she’s not good enough, the music teacher helps her gain more confidence (along with her mother ofc who talked to the bully’s parents) and eventually  Maeve turns one of her poems about the bully into a song. The music teacher encouraged more of her musical talents which grew Maeve’s love of singing even more until she realized if she tries hard enough and takes more speech classes she can become a singer, basically the bully gets expelled because they’ve been harassing other students and happy ending!

Hopefully it made sense throughout my ranting and probably misspelling 😭 

For Hasna (My MC)  she would is mentally scarred because in the place that she used live before (Canada) everyone would bully her about her forehead and when she moved to Sunset Bird and became best friends with Jessica (My MC in sunset Bird) Jessica once asked her about her dad and she told her what happended but then everyone started asking and Jessica would kind of protect her by changing the subject cause she knew she was scared to talk about it, and once someone mentioned her forehead size and made fun of it (they were in a roast battle) she didn't cry infront of them but when she got home she cried her eyes out.. Her mom Opal knew about it and tried to encourage her and give her confidence and it kinda worked.

But she hides her forehead with her bangs and when she was 10 (Step 1) she would sometimes almost all the time not hide it, but she doesn't do it anymore only with Qui she doesn't hide it and sometimes rarely with Tamarack.

hmm… this is a great question! (long yap sesh incoming probably 💔💔)

i think kojo’s feelings towards physical touch and such really faded during the events somewhere between step 1 and 2, as well as step 2 and 3.

during the time between step 1 and 2, the golden trio obviously still go to school. when starting at riverpeak high (iirc thats the name? also idk how american schools work but im p sure they mix middle school and secondary in one building) kojo is immediately seen as ‘weird’. for what reason? none other than not being a copy and paste of every other 6th grader 🙏😐 he gets beaten up a lot, and also at age 12/13 he and Qiu have a fight, like, an actual fight with fists and the whole shabang. kojo is one of the ppl qiu pushes away and ko cant understand why (jealousy) and tries to ask the other but they just end up fighting and kojo gives qiu a LIGHT concussion and qiu gives ko a broken nose and the scar on his lip.

during the time between step 2 and 3, things get a little more serious 😞😞 (sorry my son for the next things im abt to write) he’s still a loser, but the frauds (his classmates) can look to the side for like two seconds ‘cause kojo is on the school’s volleyball team! he’s their mvp and a striker + setter (kagehina lovechild), and usually the reason they win. he still gets bullied, but he’s pretty buff now and so only equally as strong ppl beat him up. erm, now the really not fun part (SORRY MY BBY IM SORRY 💔💔) kojo’s volleyball coach assistant is kinda really a weirdo 😐 she makes weird comments to him and such, and actually once tried to get him to do stuff he doesn’t want to, succeeded once w force 😐 (i think you can imagine what) mind you she’s a grown WOMAN; an ADULT. so yeah, also she actually stalked ko for a while before he told ppl and stuff 😞😞 (sorry my precious boy. not your fault your creator likes horror without the common horror elements (human behaviour.)

this didn’t really change his relationship with the women in his life whatsoever, he still loves them a lot. actually he finds a lot of comfort in them ❤️ kojo is a very lovely guy regardless and finds solace in his little qiuet times with tammy. (she was also the first person he told, along with his ma.)

for yu-ming… i havent really fleshed her out yet but i think i’d like for her to not have any TRAUMATIC events as big as kojo, but rather happy events that made her the cool, confident, charismatic, and loving girl she is today. she’s a loser lesbian for tammy, and likes to tinker and make stuff or yap about music facts surrounding cellists cuz tamarack plays one! she’s kind of like yuuji from jjk, or naruto from naruto! she’s a great cook and a pretty helpful person. she’s the type to help an old lady (dorothea) pass the street 💗💗

The big changing moment in Ians life is when she witnessed a gang shooting with her mother and then watched her mother get beaten and threatened to not talk "or else" they moved in short order after that. This caused her to have a bit of a twisted realization of "People are horrible and need to be forced to listen or behave or else there will be unquelled chaos everywhere". So she took it upon herself to enact this twisted sense of order in her everyday passings.
