This was a lot of fun! I love the tools mechanic. I think I might have given a set amount of guess or something like that to punish the player a little for just spamming guesses. Really really well done. Congrats on a super successful game jam!

Thank you for playing our game! About limiting guesses - the theme "Nothing can go wrong" actually guided our design choice here. During playtesting, we noticed some extremely cautious players who would spend 50+ minutes trying to figure out every detail before even looking at the submission form (where they'd learn we only needed hour-level precision). These players were hesitant to submit unless they knew every single detail perfectly.
We didn't want to add more text explanations, so we decided that allowing players to try multiple answers wasn't harmful - it actually helps players understand what level of detail they should be investigating. We felt this approach kept the experience accessible while still rewarding thorough investigation.
Thanks for your suggestion and the kind words about our game jam success!
