It feels very polished, art and sound are really well done. The gameplay feels fast and fluent, I couldn't get my parry build to work, maybe the timings are really tight. The cards that you can pick for your buffs and enemy buffs is really cool and sets this game apart. I can't really see how it fits the theme, but other than that, great submission!

Theme wise I took it as the player choosing things and then the results of their actions catching up to them and causing things to go wrong (surely nothing can go wrong by choosing this option)
The choice they make for how things get harder (e.g. enemy attacking all becoming homing) and the addition of new enemies to the possible enemy pool are things they have to select
