Aw man! This felt like Donkey Kong Country meets Celeste and I am all for it! The idea of adding the diddy kong roll jump tech with a horizontal dash was a ton of fun. The acceleration on the character's movement felt pretty high and easy to lose control of, but considering the obstacles that were in place, I can see why it's warranted. I must say the timing to get past most of the challenges is pretty tight! Most rooms don't allow of any wasted time! You can do everything right and still fail purely because you hesitated for a split second or were just trying to get a lay of the land, but then again, that is the prerogative of this kind of platformer. The only complaint I really have about this is that I fail to see how this game applies to the theme of the jam. It seems like the only way it does is that a fail state exists and perfect play means success, which doesn't do anything notable with the theme given.
