Unique take on the theme, it feels appropriate to me.

Gameplay is fluid and feels right. I thought it was really cool how you added the ability to change the sprites color during the tutorial scene.

Pink power goes brrrrrrrrr

Fun game, didn’t beat it but it feels like a finished game for the time I spent on it.

Thank you for playing and leaving a comment! I agree that pink power does go brrrrrrrrr. If you didn't get to see the final boss, you could use the cheat codes (Q+I), but if you did and just couldn't beat it I honestly don't blame you, it's a big difficulty spike.

BTW I didn't reply sooner because I wanted to wait until after beating A Game About Consequences

I’ll try the cheat codes! Nostalgic to see those in games these days :P

The game really gets wild after quickly jumping through the levels! I actually died after the third boss. Squid > Slime > Squid. Lava wall go me haha

I meant to ask, what is Constructor 3? Is that the engine for your game, I’ve never seen it before.

Construct 3 is a (pretty obscure) game engine, kind of block-codey, but not like Scratch or something. It's beginner friendly and works on an "If x, then do y" system. I probably didn't explain it well.

Edit: The cheat codes were just added as dev tools, but I decided to leave them in for players who wanted to see the content faster (since the game is a roguelike, you need to practice a lot to beat the game legit). Glad they were useful!

Right on. I have little to no experience developing using code blocks. But it seems like you did a pretty good job!
