We apologise for your review going out late. Here is your review from one of the judges:
Initially, I had some problems with the controls, because there wasn't a tutorial and I needed some time to figure out how everything works. At first, it wasn't apparent that you are eating ships, because they don't disappear directly on collision but sometime after. I managed to make a huge pile of ships because they spawn near each other. Once I knew what was I doing with the controls, moving and navigating was intuitive, and playing the game was and still is fun. I don't think torpedos hitting you did anything. I like that it has a menu.
GDD
GDD was barebones. I will list a few things that we would like to see in a GDD that you missed: controls and playability information, prototype graphics and diagrams, planning tasks to be completed with a timeline, flexibility in the scope, and good future planning.
Art
The art is good. Especially the shark model. I would like to see some more color on it, but the shape was spot on. The ship and torpedos matched the style of the rest of the game.
Sound design
The music is energetic and engaging. And the sounds that torpedos make when they explode add a lot to the game. What would I like to hear is a sound effect when you eat the ship. But overall sound is well done.
Overall experience was good. It has some rough edges but at the same time it was fun to play and it has good 3D models, music and sound effects.
