Mac and Linux will not be supported. I don't know anything about supporting them. I know some people in my Discord are still managing to play the game on Mac and Linux in their own ways, but out-of-the-box, probably not. Sorry.
You could use WINE (wine is not a emulator) or a VM for this, but WINE does have its issues, and a VM takes a lot of space and takes a while to boot usually. (speaking from some games I made) some stuff that works on Windows just won't work easily on macos and linux, and vice versa.
