Just a question since I recently discover this game: if I download my version from itch.io and a friend of mine on Steam can we still play together or do we need to download it from the same source?

P.S. dowloading the latest beta for Windows, looking forward to play it.

The download source doesn’t matter.

The game is literally free so why wouldn't you download it from Steam just like your friend lol? What's the difference? You lack disk space or sthg from the 500 GB-s"homework"folder on there?LOL🤣🤣🤣.

Steam itself isn't even 10 GB-s big and you can download so many good(FREE)games on there too as opposed to itch.io(not saying it also doesn't have good games but the variety is different)LMAO🤣🤣🤣:If you can afford a pc you can afford to have Steam on it aswell lol.

You're probably just underage tho I'm guessing and don't have Steam yet(I mean I had it when I was underage but that's not the point lol)

Well, Wesnoth is on itch.io since itch.io allows people to specify the amount they want to pay (including $0), which is something Steam doesn’t offer. At this point about half our money comes from people choosing to pay a non-zero amount here on itch.io.

Aah I see.I kinda always thought that Steam allowed it aswell(to pay more than the price its selling at).

I've never bought a game on Steam before so I wouldn't know lol.

Real shame it doesn't tbh:Some games like this one are definitely worth supporting unlike the gacha-lootbox mechanic-pay to win games they make today;)
