I agree this is an interesting take on chess. Didn't have the opportunity to play against someone different than me though. From what I have gathered so far the situation that both sides can beat one of the other player's pawns, do this move and end up beating nothing because the pawns wanted to beat each other seems to be quite common.

Liked the music and the sounds, and the move indicators are a treat. So the only suggestion I have at the moment is to enable actual parallel play by allowing the players to play on different devices.

Haha yeah...

I've never really gotten into networking games, I only know the most surface level of socket programming and can barely set-up a peer-to-peer game system. I do not know how to make a multiplayer game here on itch or elsewhere, I assume I'd need to buy an AWS server and do a bunch of netcode for that, which is something I've never been taught or have tackled before.

While I have problems with it, I do still like this core design idea as my chess variant, and yes I would like to make it truly multiplayer over the internet but that's far outside the scope of this jam, game, and myself at this time, unfortunately....

Thank you for playing, GreenBeakCrow! I appreciate it :)
