the game is meant to be played fresh each time. its pretty short, so repeat playthroughs should be quick! you can use CTRL to skip dialogue you've already seen and the game will stop whenever you encounter something new. 

as for the content, this update mostly focusses on advancing! so i wouldn't say this update has anything special at the beginning.
