Thank you so much for playing and the in-depth feedback. These are definitely some points to think about. I also felt that the highlighting should be showing objects that are still at the wrong scale but it's basically a decision about balancing difficulty. We worried it was too easy. I think the level got quite a lot of objects in the end so it should justify making it a bit easier. We've also thought of putting a reference/hints into the room to show the player how it's supposed to look like and I think you are right, it might be good to have it in for real. We might get to a little bit of a post jam version where we wanted to complete some of the art to be shaded but can definitely reevaluate all these points impacting difficulty and eventually frustration. (I had to be at a convention pretty much right after the game jam deadline but tonight or tomorrow I can finally play submitted games!)
