That, however, is a developer choice generated problem, by limiting support to Patreon. Releasing the game on different platforms (at least on platforms that do not require a constant upkeep with payments), would generate more income and in turn, more feedback.
Especially if you consider that there are countries where paying on Patreon is not a popular option, simply because Patreon is not a well-known platform - I would never pay there, personally, simply cause it's not well spread or known in my country, hence I will not trust it with my card.
While I understand issues, work-life balance and limitations, we do have to keep in mind that there are more likely to be solutions than not.
