So no way to download the demo for free? I tried. and liked this a while back but was worried that I might have to spend 3/4 of the time crafting/gathering. I love to try the demo again.

As for the crafting, it's optional. The only profession that needs it is poacher to craft arrows, but otherwise it's a way to get some gear, same as killing people who already have some stuff. ;)
