Excellent soundtrack, well designed, gorgeous graphics and a plethora of scenarios for the mind to fill in the blanks of what possibilities may be had. A true oldskool game, sticking to a strict formula, that is executed in near-perfection. This is one addictive game, once you get into it. I'm not one who's ever turned to walkthroughs, nor spoilers so this should keep me going for quite some time. Really looking forward to beating this one, on just about any difficulty level. Nice to see several palettes represented (although I do thoroughly enjoy the ZX Spectrum one), well as options with regards to movement. If you ever wondered 'what made games so great back in the days?' I strongly suggest you give Melkhior's Mansion a spin - it doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, nor is it trying to 'modernize' anything. It is simple, fun and addictive, with a few extras sprinkled on top for good measures. A solid videogame.
