Funny simple game. Gotta love to wonky unity physics.

Would have needed keyboard shortcuts for restart/try again or even making it fully mouse controllable. And as has already been said, the UI would need some finishing touches.

The camera could have also used some love. Both 1 and 3 were too far from the action (usually for me at least) so 2 was my favourite. Would have liked to see a more dynamic one that would be there in the action. Also, the frog started needlessly far away in my opinion. You had to do a 50% launch to even reach the road.

Super minor thing, but the small twitch the launch power bar did in the beginning annoyed the crap out of me for some reason :D

Had a blast with this one! :D I let out a giggle the moment the first cars crashed. The tuning on the car physics and the sounds are hilarious. So great.

I also liked the mechanic of launching the frog, there were times you got a great pileup and other times you would just miss completely. ( Would be nice if the arrow didn't embed in the ground though).

My biggest critique (and would be an easy change) is to not make the end HUD an opaque grey image.  I always went from laughing to being bummed the moment that screen showed up, just because there was no way to see all the destruction I caused. Feels like having a lot of fun and then someone comes up and covers your eyes. The game is already great fun, but if you just got rid of that gray background, and let the text overlay the traffic (while it continued to crash), would be 1000x more fun! :)

I had one round where it went on long enough the end screen didn't show up for a while.... it was so great! :D :D (I attached the screenshot)

Hey, I also made a submission for comic #772!  For some reason I thought I'd be the only one, but here I am, pleasantly surprised!

I had fun with your game but it could use a bit more polish, here's my rundown:

  • Destruction is hilariously entertaining to watch
  • Ambient audio matched pretty well, and the crash sounds were silly
  • Scoring helped you keep track of how much damage you did
  • In-Game instructions!

  • The aiming arrow got skewed when you tilted it up and down at an angle
  • Round sometimes ended before the destruction
  • GUI wasn't very visually pleasing, makes me feel like I wasn't playing a game for some reason

Hey man, I saw your game as well; thanks for the feedback! I think your cons are all valid points, especially the comments about the UI; I feel like it's been a weakness of previous games I've made, and now I've got proof it's something I've got to work on. Despite that, I'm very glad you had fun with the game; I definitely had a blast making it, especially when the sound effects were added.

It's amusing to watch the destruction happen. Though, it usually ends before the destruction gets too crazy, and some particle effects for fire or explosions would go a long way towards making it more interesting to watch. Sometimes the frog gets pushed into a tunnel and you can't see much, so it might be better to have a fixed camera angle, too. Still, always fun to watch destruction happen!

A nice funny concept wish you could launch yourself about three different times in one round to get all the cars but other than that neat! Anyway one thing I do want to mention is I'm doing a review of design on the games in this jam so here's a shameless plug to my channel if you want to be notified of the vid when released:

My XKCD game jam analysis is out!

Really nice video; glad to see Amphibian Annihilation made it in for a second there.
