I really like the cozy, laid-back atmosphere of this track! The light percussion is on point, the piano bass walks so nicely to give a nice laid back jazzy groove, and the saxophone melody floats very nicely over the top. The triplet rhythm in the percussion is really interesting because it gives both the swing sound, but also has a little bit of a march-like quality to it which adds some character to the location you are describing. I imagine this working well in a casino in games like Animal Crossing or Link’s Awakening which have “tiny world” vibes.

Constructive feedback: I can hear the detailed work that went into the saxophone articulations, with the scoops and vibrato. This is really awesome attention to detail and can take a lot of extra time, but really pays off in the end. In thinking about how you could elevate this to the next level, I wonder if loosening or de-quantizing the melody would help add to the relaxed jazzy sound you have? In thinking about how a jazz saxophonist would play this melody, I think there might be points where the performer might hang over certain notes or scoop into important notes or fall off notes at the end of phrases. Essentially making the melody not as boxy or grid-like. The ability to write with this human quality is challenging, but it adds so much to the character of a piece. And because I can see that you are thinking about it and making intentional choices in this way, I can see you are almost there!

Overall this is a charming piece with a really beautiful melody. While I wish it were longer, I appreciate that you dedicated your time to the intricacies and detail of what you have. Nice work and thank you for sharing!

Wow! That's a lot to take in; thank you! And thank you for noticing my (in my opinion vain) efforts on sax articulation haha :D Gonna take all of it to heart what you said and i might actually try to expand on this one :)

Nice lil lounge jazzy track! It's calm and definitely has a casino atmosphere. I could imagine it in the casino-realated game, in a main menu or in a load screen. Good job!
