I agree with charystuj, that part at 0:40 is a really magical moment. Those arpeggios give an other-worldly space vibe which I think fits with the colorful neon environment in casinos. This is kind of a random reference, but I imagined this track fitting really well with the environment in the level “Invasion at the House of Horrors” from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I really love the part leading up to 1:35 where the cymbals sparsely play with the crescendoing electric guitar and then it builds back up to the full sound.
Constructive feedback: The one part that I think limited me from completely getting lost in the groove was the extent of your swing on your hi-hat which made it feel a little stop-start-y/limpy. I think this track probably would work better without a swing rhythm and would benefit maybe from an open hi-hat/crash cymbal on the off-beats with the snare and a consistent straight 16th note groove on the closed hi-hat.
Overall this was a really fun track to listen to and made me wonder if there are games with space casinos that this could groove in! Nice work and thank you for sharing!
Love the 0:40 part; i think the ear-candy, dice throwing sound was a bit overused.
Oh also, the drop on 1:35 is also great
Overall great track for one day!
loll the Willy Wonka sample I love that movie
Really cool tune! I heard a few times where the different moving parts don't line up harmonically. When writing a new part, keep in mind what the current chord is so you can stay away from "wrong" notes unless you really mean to play them. I respect it if it's intentional, but it just stood out to my ear!
I like how it builds up to that big part at the end of the song, but it sounds a bit cluttered with everything going on. Make sure you know which parts are more important, and should thus be brought out, and mess with EQing to keep it from sounding this way.
Very enjoyable listen! Nice work 🐦⬛
Thanks for feedback! I made it aproximately in one day, because of urgent matters, so i didn't have enough time for mastering. There are a lot of things I want to add into the final result. Btw it's my first track for any of jams)
