Description
silly lil casino themed song for the jam! :D I had a lot of fun working on it today especially with the deadline in mind :) don't think I would have finished it without the deadline hahaha, will definitely join future jams!

First of all: Glad you joined the jam and managed to finish this piece! Deadlines (and set themes) can really help beating procrastination! :-D
I especially enjoyed the varied drums and your usage of the casino sounds as rhythmic samples. The laid-back, jazzy vibe perfectly fits the theme as well! Nice work! :-)
The innovation on this was mostly the ambience i really dig the probably meant to be the sound of someone cards-shuffling. It's meant probably era-level to sound like an early 90's game around when Links Golf came out but once you take that as a basis, it's a solidly constructed thing. Nice job.
gave you an Itch follow, if you like my thing(s) consider doing the same

I mean i'm mostly triggered to fondly remember the Golden Nugget box art.
Piano harmony as well as horn and string melodies work well. Interesting choice incorporating that dice roll SFX into the rhythm. At 0:42 and 0:59, I felt the attack envelope on the horn was a little slow considering you were going for a staccato phrase. I like the transition section starting at 0:27 where the kick gets established. Ending is emotionally powerful and I like the rhythmic change there, though felt the high hat didn't need to continue through the final horn note... makes it feel like a transition rather than an ending. Still, I enjoyed this piece, gj.
Thank you so much for the feedback!! :D I am pretty new to this so I'm not really sure how to fix the attack envelope but will definitely look into it for future projects- I do think that's a great point and would help it to improve!
For the ending bit I totally see what you mean- I'm trying to learn how to make music mostly for games though so that was actually intentional to be as a transition so that the song loops smoothly without feeling like it ends and starts again! c:
