Description
A simple song. At the beginning when making this track I thought of liminal horror tracks and you can still hear some parts of the old vision, but it slowly morphed into what it is now.

Really cool track!

I loved the intro, that "Sweet" instrument! I was hoping you'd rest on those first three chords for a bit, going for some chill lofi-vibe. It made me confused when I heard the "ByeBye" instrument, which didn't fit the expected vibe to me. The "Synth piano" also fit the lofi-vibe I was expecting, especially since that instruments gets a solo for a bit. It seemed to have a bit of an identity-crisis.

Soon enough, I was realizing this was not your normal lofi-track. It started feeling more like a level of a game; a platformer perhaps? The "LB302" instrument helped too (it always sounds so funny to me xD). In the middle we have some buildup, getting harder and harder at 2:57. Intensity rising! I liked where this was going :). At 3:17, the vibe was undeniable. And 3:59 was a great ending. You used those drums really nice to build the intensity!

It's quite a long track, but in a good way! A lot is happening throughout the song. I would never have thought any of this was horror-genre though, even if you moved away from that ;)

Really nice, great song :D

Thank you Nick! You are always so nice! I’m excited to hear what you made once I get free time!

the triangle wave(?) arp is a pleasant sound. when the track switches into double-time with the drums, the energy pickup you get from that adds an urgency to the quite cheery energy you start with -- it makes me think of when you get those bursts of heavy rain during a period of lighter rain, then you get under a roof or summin when it switches back... so, it's an interesting narrative progression

Thanks! I always like hiding little stories in my work.

Nice track! Very interesting you turned a liminal horror track into this, it feels overall cheerful and positive vibe. Nice job!

Thank you! :D

The melodies are relaxing to me and I get a very home-like feeling from the timbres you chose! I am sort of curious of what direction you had planned with your liminal horror idea, it's a pretty interesting turn of events to me! But also, I think this is a very nice chiptune piece you've made!

Thank you! I didn’t really though of it as home-like until a lot of people started mentioning it, I kind of felt more like walking one afternoon in the city while autumn rains are puring.

Btw, if you are curious about my original vision for this song, I’ll show you a song by a small artist I enjoy a lot (song) that is kind of a reference to what I wanted to do (imagine that but with more rain FX and more chiptune synths).

Ah, I listened again and I can see what you mean by the "walking in a city during rain" feel. I gave the track you linked a listen too and I can see an idea of what you had planned, very interesting!
