Pretty cool game, though it's a little hard to push off an adventurer without accidently going off as well. Maybe widen the space on the adventurers so they can be pushed off a little sooner. Then again, it does bring a nice bit of challenge, so who knows. Just an idea to sit with

How does your game apply the limitation (and optionally, the theme)?
It applies to the restriction because the player is like a traditional video game boss protecting a treasure. It applies to the theme because you push enemies off of an edge to kill them thus making you on the edge.
