Relatively fun little platformer.  I do however thing that the implementation of the theme that you used is very common in the jam. The music is ok, and the art is pretty good. I wish there was some way the player could better convey going into a higher speed preferably with the animations. The jumping gets very slippery at those high speeds as well. The wall jump is very easy to get used to and I think the checkpoints are very generous. However the falling platforms can block your jump and are the most annoying part of the game.

Hahahahaha that ending. I suppose that is the true "there and back again" of the game, eh? Also, what kind of a prison facility is this guy in that's full of lava? Super hilarious implementation of a simple premise.  Also sorry about the shortness of the video, my dog ran across the comp part way through and I had to shut it off. Thanks for sharing your game!

Watching someone play one of my games for the first time was an interesting experience. Clearly i need to make the objective a little more obvious. Thanks for playing i'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks! Ha I eventually figured it out though you couldn't see my aha moment. I had to restart the game after my dog walked over my stuff.

loved it, the check points are totally necessary, it will look even better if there was some indication of where why are.

When I die the disappearing platforms are not going back and it's kind of a bummer.

I would also love it if (at least in the first level) you can put an "E" icon above the door (I had to exit the game and come back to remember that I need to press to to move on). Or many better, not a need to press a button at all.
