  • Cute and there were several thoughful elements, like blocking the minigames after the 'completion' of the game. New Game+ was a nice touch.

Feedback

  • Nice and cute art
  • The cooking looked a bit unfinished, I'd love to have more game mechanics for the cooking
  • Fishing was more fun then the other gathering task, because it required timing. Well, catching leaves too, but fishing is less predicatable

Thank you for the feedback. I agree with the cooking assessment. I thought I had through Sunday to finish it and ended up realizing it was only through Friday, so I had to reach a stopping point with the time I had.

Thanks for the feedback on fishing. I was exceedingly happy with how it turned out. The random function worked much better than I had expected it to, to make the fish feel alive and dynamic.

Most important thing I could do again/not do in the future to improve in my games?

Cheers!

I try to figure out the "core" of the game or the main game mechnics. And try to build everything to support it and make the main experience better.

So in your example, the game about cooking or but exploring and gathering things?

Wonderful game! I wish the leaves fell a little faster but I liked how different the mini games were for the different ingredients. I also like how you undock to open an inventory menu, I'll have to borrow that for some future ideas I have.

Hey thanks for the comment! That's fair, I was trying to balance between relaxing and arcade-y in feel which is a tough tightrope to walk.

Yea I was thinking, hmm how can I make a super simple on the fly menu? Hahah it worked 😅😂

Cheers mate!
