Man, this went full halloween right away, this is great! This has such a fun halloween chaos vibe, it's such a fun piece to listen to. It also has very I think "family friendly" vibes, with how you use the samples and instruments. I think that parts of this song would go well in a game like Overcooked. Wonderful work, I'm really glad you submitted it!
In my mind, this tune has all the charm of an N64-era boss fight music with the production value/tricks of modern day music. (maybe because the section at 1:06 with the laughing reminds me of the “Mad Jack” fight from Donkey Kong 64).
Either way, this was a treat to listen to. Thanks for joining our Tune Jam!
Excellent track! It would have been a shame if you hadn't joined in!
The chord choices are very good, we're really into the spooky Halloween vibe, especially from 1'10" where the modulations make the track even more dramatic.
Between 20" and 1'10", I could see this music playing against a boss in a Disney game (Halloween night starring Donald Duck).
The ending is very well done with this change of tempo.
In short, it's all good!
Woah, that transition from that harpsichord melody to the main piece was so cool. It almost sounds 'dancing skeleton' like. I think the composition aspect is awesome. I like how the sounds aren't exclusively all instruments, especially the laughing sounds and the synthy theremin thing. The progression through sections flows really nicely.
I think, personally it could fit the 'boss fight' theme a little better, but I love the music. Especially that but at 1:08 with the laughing, it sounds like an amazing intro to a halloween movie. A bit Nightmare before Christmas. Good work mate, sounds good.
Really loved the melodic movement you have throughout this whole track, feels super animated and chaotic
Ticked all of the Halloween boxes, well done! Liked the ritardando at the end of the intro, perfectly setting up the faster tempo that follows. Your choice of instruments and sfx was honestly so all-encompassing that this could be that sample track for a Halloween soundfont and sfx pack. Loved the piano and choir section, reminded me a little of stuff like Secret of Mana. The different sections complemented each other really well and kept the whole piece fresh throughout. Great job!
